And here we go! We are Flying to French Polynesia and boarding a Freighter called the Aranui in Tahiti. For 14 days this ship , which takes a handful of passengers, will be stopping at the very remote Marquesas Islands to offload supplies and also pick up things from these small islands. This vessel is part passenger/ part Freighter and is the MAIN supply line to this archipelago, providing passage to areas inaccessible by conventional meths such as air flights and cruise ships. we will visit all 6 of the inhabited islands and some other spots that are culturally important to the Polynesian people. the staff and crew are all Polynesian and they are also the entertainment! No casinos, or nightclubs on this ship......but expecting to see beautiful sights and dive in some pristine waters.
