Everyone had the afternoon free and we walked around exploring until it got too hot! Then Siesta. Of course, in Buenos Aires that wasn't relaxing. We heard very loud noises, like drums, bombs, and firecrackers. Our room faces a main street so all we did was go out on the pigeon poop balcony and look down and saw a big demonstration. Since we are only two blocks from parliament building, we found out this is a common occurrence in this city...protesting with loud traffic stopping parades. Afternoon Delight. NOT.
Good thing I had a big double cappuccino after lunch because the evening was going to start with cocktails in the hotel, lounge at 8:30pm. Dinner at 9:00pm (very common). And then a wonderful exhibition of the real tango, which didn't start until 10:30! Wow! That's a long way off from my 4:00 pm "wine time"!
It was a great dinner with the Argentine wines flowing and the show was dramatic and entertaining. We could not take a flash, so the picture quality was not great, but a good time was had by all, and good thing our coach didn't turn into a pumpkin, cause it was way after midnight and a long walk back!
Looks like fun! All that Zumba has paid off Connie, you look like a pro! I have a sneaky suspicion however that you will not be sad to leave BA for a bit of quiet and calm (and I do hope the seas are calm for you!).
